Quinn's Lighthouse Restaurant & Pub is situated in an historic landmark lighthouse built in 1890. The restaurant, amidst its large size, was run much like a Mom and Pop shop. Menus were cut and paste, they ran no advertising, and lacked any brand identity. They were surviving with repeat business and word of mouth only. After 14 years, they realized they needed to step it up and take advantage of their heritage and start marketing the restaurant to increase sales.
We began by setting a tone for the menu, reflecting on the historical lighthouse location, by integrating vintage nautical illustrations and planked wood backgrounds. We digitized and refined their menu with organized food categories, refined descriptions and clear pricing. Next we built a web presence which allowed the restaurant to use OpenTable and City Search features, allowing them to gain more exposure from online diners. Over the years we continued to build the brand with gift cards, magazine and newspaper advertising, business cards, brochures and on-premise posters.
The restaurant saw increased revenue within one year of SunDesign's help and has increased year after year, they receive so many large party inquiries they have to turn some down, and they're received several awards from respected organizations like Wine Spectacular and Restaurant Hospitality.
