Pro Arts annual East Bay Open Studios (EBOS) program lacked a consistent brand identity. Each year a new designer donated their time and each brought a new look with them. They needed to establish a visual look for the program to help gain recognition among the public and the artists.
SunDesign took Pro Arts under its wing in 2004, building it’s brand identity and ensuring consistent, professional design was implemented. The first year we established a fun, hip look using bright colors and trendy graphics. We continued this look for the next two years, swapping out colors and updating the graphics. By having a consistent look-n-feel with recognizable icons, this helped the program gain recognition and additional funding through donations and grants, so by year five, Pro Arts was able to upgrade the artist directory to a more professional, catalog format, including full-color spreads.
Since SunDesign stepped in, the program has gained revenue from increased artist participation, has received city recognition and has elevated its perception among artists and the public.
