AutoBody Fine Art is a new, contemporary art gallery located in a small town in the San Francisco Bay Area. They wanted to compete with larger, San Francisco galleries, however offering more personalized service and supporting local unknown artists. With location being everything, AutoBody needed a strong brand identity to attract both the locals plus outside art buyers as well.
SunDesign began establishing a modern and simple brand identity with a clean, contemporary typeface for their logotype. A color palette of rich reds was chosen to communicate the gallery’s stimulating personality as well as some cool greys to soften the red. The overall look-n-feel is minimal, as to allow the featured art to shine and stand out, similar to it’s interior gallery space.
By developing a strong brand identity that speaks to its brand personality, among various collateral, AutoBody can now properly market themselves and compete equally with larger galleries. This solid foundation will allow the gallery to expand its exposure beyond a small town.
"Autobody Fine Art was formed to represent emerging and mid-career artists in the Bay Area and beyond. We needed a clean, intelligent and approachable look that radiated these ideals. SunDesign worked with us and completely understood our needs. They have been responsible for branding our business and positioning us through developing graphics that are as contemporary as the artists we exhibit. Punctual, flexible and with a great sense of humour, SunDesign's work is a fantastic example of how design really does influence the way in which business is conducted."
